Landscaping & gardening and Dunfermline homes
Dunfermline (a city since 2022) has older stone housing around the Abbey and the city centre, post-war council estates such as Abbeyview and Touch, and large modern developments to the east in Duloch and Halbeath.
- Stone boundary walls are common round older houses. Repointing or rebuilding them is a specialist job worth mentioning up front.
- Front gardens in ex-council estates are often turned into driveways. Check whether you'll need a dropped kerb.
- New-build gardens are often left as basic turf on compacted soil, so drainage, patios and fencing are common first jobs.
- Removing trees in a conservation area normally needs six weeks' notice to Fife Council.
Areas covered include City Centre, Abbeyview, Touch, Garvock, Pitcorthie, Duloch, Halbeath, Pitreavie, Baldridgeburn, Brucefield, Wellwood, Rosyth. Local authority: Fife Council.

How it works
- Tell us the job. Give a short description, your postcode and roughly when.
- We pass it to one local tradesperson who covers your area and does that kind of work. We pick one, not five, so your phone won't ring all day.
- They contact you to arrange a visit or a quote. You decide whether to go ahead.
To be upfront about what we are: we're an independent quote-request service, not a trade company. We don't vet, insure or guarantee anyone's work, so always get a written quote and check the registrations that apply to your job.
Questions
Does it cost me anything?
No. It's free for homeowners and tenants. Some tradespeople pay us a small fee for an introduction.
How many people will contact me?
One. We share your request with one local tradesperson only. If they can't help, we'll ask you before passing it to anyone else.
