How it works

  1. Tell us the job. Give a short description, your postcode and roughly when.
  2. We pass it to one local tradesperson who covers your area and does that kind of work. We pick one, not five, so your phone won't ring all day.
  3. They contact you to arrange a visit or a quote. You decide whether to go ahead.

To be upfront about what we are: we're an independent quote-request service, not a trade company. We don't vet, insure or guarantee anyone's work, so always get a written quote and check the registrations that apply to your job.

Questions

Does it cost me anything?

No. It's free for homeowners and tenants. Some tradespeople pay us a small fee for an introduction.

How many people will contact me?

One. We share your request with one local tradesperson only. If they can't help, we'll ask you before passing it to anyone else.

Which areas do you cover?

Aberdeen (AB10–AB16, AB21–AB25), including Ferryhill, Old Aberdeen, Torry, Kincorth, Bridge of Don, Dyce. If we can't find someone suitable, we'll tell you honestly.

Do you check the tradespeople?

We only pass jobs to businesses with a public address or trading history, but we're not an accreditation scheme. For gas work, check the Gas Safe Register. For electrics, check SELECT, NICEIC or NAPIT. Aberdeen City Council Trading Standards can also advise on dealing with traders.

Can I delete my details?
